Genoa interested in out of favor Roma attacker Pedro

John Solano

After just one season, Roma want to part ways with veteran attacker Pedro.

The ex-Barcelona man joined the club last summer on a free transfer from Chelsea, penning a three-year deal.

His first season in the Italian capital had several up’s and down’s, but he still managed to collect a respectable six goals and seven assists in all competitions.

However, following the departure of Paulo Fonseca, new Roma boss José Mourinho decided not to call Pedro up for the team’s preseason retreat, paving the way for him to leave after only one year.

The attacker has already drawn interest from MLS and Qatar, but according to calciomercato.com—a stay in Serie A could also be a possibility.

Genoa boss Davide Ballardini is keen to bring an experienced attacker to the club this summer and the soon to be 34 year-old is on his wishlist.
