Roma midfielder Gerson, who is on loan at Fluminense, spoke to sportv.globo.com after Fluminense won the Primeira Liga in Brazil. Here are his words:
“I am very happy, I thank God, my family. I thank Roma and the president of Fluminense for having reached an agreement, which really satisfied me as I have returned here. My thoughts are also with all those who work here around the team who believed in me and in my work. Ever since I was a child, I always wanted to win something here and then go play abroad. I won this but it’s still not enough for me, there is still a title at stake and I’ll try to win that, too. When am I returning to Roma? Today, that’s what has been decided then after that we’ll see, regardless, I will be happy.”
