Roma are closing in on Artem Dovbyk from Girona as their next starting forward.

The Giallorossi have found in Dovbyk the rightful replacement of Romelu Lukaku who concluded his loan earlier in the summer.

Today, Roma sporting director Florent Ghisolfi travelled to Girona to find an agreement with Girona over the final fee package.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport, the Spanish club wants 35 million euros plus five bonuses to let the Ukrainian striker leave.

Roma have gone up to 30 million euros plus 5 in bonuses.

The agents are working to find a solution that meets the requests of both teams and close the operation on the 32 million euros plus bonuses. It will still take some time to define, but Artem Dovbyk wants Roma.

As reported by Di Marzio, Ghisolfi flew to Spain together with the attacker’s Ukrainian agents.

The Giallorossi executive met with Dovbyk today to reassure him and reiterate that he will wear the Giallorossi shirt, while tomorrow (31 July) he will meet Girona to seek a definitive agreement after the first ‘no’ to Roma’s offer.

The player’s agents will be present in this decisive “face to face” between the clubs.
