Roma are eyeing Guéla Doué as one of the options to strengthen the team this summer.
The 21-year-old Ivorian fullback is reportedly in Roma’s shopping list ahead of next season.
Roma technical director Florent Ghisolfi is personally involved in Doué’s pursuit: the French executive has been a long-time admirer of the young Rennes player.
Doué also happens to be a player that Roma had scouted a few months ago, reports La Repubblica, and have now renewed their interest in.
The Ivorian footballer’s contract expires in 2025 and Roma would like to snatch the contract at a controlled price of around €6-7 million; a figure deemed too low by Frederic Massara, the newly appointed sporting director of the Breton club.
Ghisolfi is trying to understand what Massara’s intentions are going into the summer transfer window when Doué is bound to draw interest from clubs from all over Europe.
