Primavera midfielder Giacomo Faticanti penned a contract renewal with the capital club until 2026 earlier today.
Faticanti – who was recently part of Mourinho’s preseason training camp with the Giallorossi’s first team – described his feelings following the extension in an interview with the club’s official channels.
“I am grateful every day for being able to wear this shirt. It’s an incredible and very unique feeling,” said Faticanti who recently turned 17 years of age.
“I’ve lived in Trigoria for three years, it’s my home, my everything. Roma are the top from this point of view, I have to thank them above all for helping me become a man.”
“I am delighted to be the captain of the Primavera, and I know that it’s a great responsibility. De Rossi has always been a point of reference for me. I play with the number 16 in his honor. I was lucky enough to know him and to know a great person he is.”
“The experience in Portugal with Mourinho and the first team was memorable because you don’t expect to play with people of Dybala’s caliber. It was such a wonderful feeling to greet him and play with him.”
“Training with Mourinho was also an important experience, not everyone can say the same thing.”
