Lecce coach Marco Giampaolo was not happy with the way things went for his team in tonight’s loss to Roma.
The Italian technician spoke to Sky Sport about a foul on Baschirotto on the occasion of Dovbyk’s goal.
“I have something to say about Roma’s goal. There was a foul on Baschirotto, I saw it from all angles, I think it was a foul for us, the action was dangerous, he was cut in the middle by Dobvyk and Pisilli, he was fouled in a dangerous position on the pitch.”
“The referee could have called it,” he said.
“You have to take risks, but in the 95 minutes the team played on a balanced level against a strong Roma. Lecce tried to cancel or reduce the distances, and succeeded. I’m sorry we lost, we deserved a positive result. The defeat tells another story.”
