Atalanta manager Gian Piero Gasperini was asked about Duvan Zapata’s future.

Following Atalanta’s last pre-season friendly of the summer, Gasperini was interviewed by Sky Sport and, among other things, discussed the recent transfer rumors concerning Zapata’s future and the links with a move to Roma.

“Right now Zapata is healthy. It is true that he has had some injuries in recent years but strikers sometimes have injuries. It comes with the territory,” he said.

“Last year he was unlucky, it has nothing to do with muscle problems. Now he has recovered and he’s a strong player. Obviously it is up to the club to decide what to do with him.”
