Atalanta boss Gian Piero Gasperini was asked about the future of Duvan Zapata.
Despite having been linked with an imminent move to Roma, Zapata featured in Atalanta’s starting eleven with Sassuolo earlier tonight.
After the game, Gasperini discussed this decision in his interview with DAZN.
“My decision to put him out there tonight doesn’t mean he’s not on the market anymore. If he is with us and is available I let him play, with Zapata as well as with Muriel and others, I will never get in the way of their choices because I owe them too much,” said Gasperini.
“They must be happy, satisfied, they will decide with the club what they want to do. If they want to stay, I’m happy. If they go away, it will mean that they will be happy elsewhere and that’s fine, too.”
