Former Chelsea player and assistant manager Gianfranco Zola addressed Mourinho’s first season in the Italian capital in a recent interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“I can imagine the Conference League win being a huge boost for Roma going into next season,” said Zola.
“Roma is known for its enthusiasm and lives and dies by it. Mourinho has done a great job at creating the necessary enthusiasm and also managing it.”
When asked about which young player he’ll keep an eye on next year, Zola did not hesitate, “In Italy I want to keep an eye on Zaniolo. I like him a lot.”
