Roma win against Lazio for the first time in 2 years thanks to Gianluca Mancini’s header in the first half.
The Giallorossi vice-captain celebrated with the fans at the full-time whistle.
Following the celebrations, Mancini discussed his feelings with DAZN.
“My heart is racing so fast right now,” said the Italian defender. “I finally score in my tenth derby. I missed the feeling of scoring a goal – right now I’m the happiest man in the world.”
“We hadn’t won in a long time, the fans deserved it. They always supported us even after the defeat in Coppa Italia. The goal makes you happy, but the important thing was to win for us, for the league table and the fans.”
“I will keep this shirt with me forever,” he added. “It’s nice to celebrate with our fans, obviously without disrespecting anyone. The bow is for this fantastic Curva, there is great mutual affection. The fans are fantastic.”
“I had some physical issues in the first half. At halftime I took some painkillers because in these matches I always stay on the pitch, I only go out if I have a broken leg. I would feel too bad on the bench in a game like this.”
“This is a special match, but the season is not over. It will be an intense month, let’s celebrate but keep our feet on the ground. Forza Roma!”
