Roma defender Gianluca Mancini did not take too kindly to Luciano Spalletti’s decision to exclude him from Italy’s squad list.
The centreback had made the cut over recent months and returned to Italy’s line-up on two occasions including a month ago against Malta.
However, the moment was short-lived as Mancini was not included in Italy’s latest squad list despite his consistent improvements over the course of the season.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Luciano Spalletti’s decision to leave him out of the squad list for the upcoming engagements with North Macedonia and Ukraine made Mancini extremely disappointed.
Instead, the ex-Roma manager called up Bryan Cristante and Stephan El Shaarawy, leaving the likes of Leonardo Spinazzola and Lorenzo Pellegrini at home.
