The Serie A Sporting Judge has released the verdict concerning the episode of Gianluca Mancini’s involvement in the aftermath of the Derby della Capitale.

Following the Federal Prosecutor’s investigation into Mancini’s celebration after Roma’s derby win – which saw the defender wave an anti-Lazio flag with a rat on display – the Sporting Judge announced that the defender will face a light punishment for his actions.

As stated on the website of Serie A, the Sporting Judge has handed Mancini a fine of €5,000 for having waved the flag at full-time on Saturday evening.

Thus, the player will not face any suspension after rumors from Italian media reports had claimed it was a possibility.
