Roma defender Gianluca Mancini was once again the protagonist of Roma’s latest victory, this time in the Europa League.

After scoring against Lazio in the Derby della Capitale, Mancini’s header gave Roma a precious lead in the Europa League quarterfinals tie with Milan.

In his post-match interview with Sky Sport, Mancini remarked how the team knew exactly how to meet the moment and handle Milan.

“We put in a great performance,” said the centreback. “Perhaps in the second half we could have done more. I don’t say this with arrogance, but because we have the qualities to do more, and that’s the truth.”

“The match was played well, Milan are a great team. We were super careful with the ball, we didn’t take unnecessary risks and we knew how to suffer and it paid off.”
