Roma vice-captain Gianluca Mancini penned a message to the fans in light of Roma’s latest elimination from the Europa League tournament.
Mancini – whose own-goal proved costly in last night’s return leg with Bayer Leverkusen – wrote the following message on Instagram:
“Another journey in Europe full of emotions, unforgettable nights, head-on battles ends. All together, on and off the pitch.”
“We bid farewell to Europe with bitterness and awareness of having given our soul for these colours, with our minds already set on the next commitments and ready to return soon, as a large group, stronger than ever. Like family, like Roma.”
