Gianluca Mancini returns from international duty with foot injury

Roma defender Gianluca Mancini will not take part in Italy’s engagement with Turkey after the Azzurri’s humiliating elimination from the upcoming World Cup, claims Sky Sport.

The Italian centre-back is reportedly nursing an issue with his right foot and will preemptively quit Coverciano and return to the capital in order to prepare for Roma’s final tough stretch.

Mancini was forced to walk off the pitch against North Macedonia in the final minutes of the match.

The player will consult with Roma’s medical staff and follow an individual training regime for the next few days.
