Roma defender Gianluca Mancini expressed regret with regards to his accidental injuring of fellow teammate Tammy Abraham in the course of Roma-Hellas Verona. The Englishman sustained a blow to the face which resulted in him getting six stitches on an injured lower eyelid.
In an interview with Sky Sport, Mancini said, “I’m glad he recovered. I was really sorry it happened, it was an unfortunate episode.”
“I will offer him something and try to make up for it, if he scores tomorrow it would be even better for him,” he said, referring to tomorrow night’s Europa League return leg with Salzburg.
“We will have to watch for Salzburg’s pace and cutting and limit them, scoring as soon as possible.”
