Roma defender Gianluca Mancini spoke to Sky Sport after the Giallorossi’s 1-1 draw with Union Saint-Gilloise.

“We are professionals and we try to put on the field everything that the coach asks of us,” he said.

“The results mean a lot and give you that little something extra. The moment is not positive but we must not get down and we must give something extra,” he added.

“On Sunday we will have to work even harder for the most important thing: the three points.”

“The Friedkins? I am here to be a footballer giving my all. The president makes his choices.”

“We try to be focused on the pitch and corporate issues do not concern us. When we were asked for an opinion we gave it but it is not our focus.”

“In the locker room there are great men and great footballers. They are all leaders and we lift each other up. We try to be as much of a group as possible because this is a sad moment because the results are not coming.”

“The group is giving its all even if it is not enough.”

“We are so sorry for the fans that were so many today. When the new ones ask me I tell them about the nights in Europe when I saw the eyes of the opponents full of fear. Now our fans no longer give us that 60% more and we understand them but we have to get ready to fight.”
