Roma defender Gianluca Mancini is being investigated for the way he celebrated the recent victory of the Derby della Capitale.
The Federal Prosecutor’s Office are in fact reviewing the incident involving Mancini who – at full-time on Saturday – was seen waving a flag displaying Lazio colors and a rat.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Mancini has been officially notified of the proceedings and has seven days to prepare his defence or allow the Federal Prosecutor, Giuseppe Chinè, to interrogate him about the events that took place on Saturday evening.
The newspaper suggests that Mancini will seek a plea agreement in order to reduce the punishment: the defender is likely to avoid suspension and be handed a fine instead.
