Roma defender Gianluca Mancini was the hero of the night for the Giallorossi as they beat Lazio 1-0 in today’s edition of Derby della Capitale.
After the match, Mancini – whose header in the first half proved to be decisive – spoke to Roma Tv and urged caution.
“Derbies are tough, special games, we hadn’t won one in a long time so concentration was at its maximum. Scoring was great but the important thing was to win and we are happy with the result.”
“We had a good first half, then they tried to put pressure on us. Many derbies ended 1-0, and yes, we suffered near the end but it led us to victory.”
“Milan in the Europa League? It will be tough game, it will be an important month where a lot will be decided. We must keep our feet on the ground because the derby is a special match but it’s worth only three points, not ten. Feet on the ground, head held high and let’s keep working.”
