Former Roma and Torino sporting director Gianluca Petrachi had his say about Andrea Belotti’s decision to join Roma earlier in the summer and his subsequent series of poor displays for the Giallorossi.
“I would have advised him to go to Florence and join Fiorentina,” Petrachi said in an interview with Radio Bruno.
“Fiorentina would have made him the star of the show from the start, something which he will have to wait for at Roma. He would have been a great signing for Fiorentina, especially given the difficulties in scoring this season.”
“Sporting directors in Italy? Some of my colleagues are still employed, and sit around at various clubs all over the country but their decisions don’t determine the fates of their clubs anymore. It’s a dying profession.”
