Gianluca Scamacca is closer to joining Roma on loan from West Ham United.
The Italian striker continues to be Roma’s priority replacement of injured Tammy Abraham and the capital club are pushing to get a deal done as soon as possible despite West Ham not willing to accept any temporary transfers.
However, the situation may soon change, claims Il Tempo.
Later today Scamacca will join the rest of the West Ham squad for their first preseason training. The player has made it clear to the English side’s management that his desire is to return to the Italian capital.
Roma will likely have to pay a loan fee for him, although it remains to be seen what exact demands West Ham may have.
Giallorossi GM Tiago Pinto is set to have a decisive meeting for Scamacca in the coming days.
