West Ham attacker Gianluca Scamacca is heavily leaning toward a return to Roma – his boyhood club.
Following weeks of negotiations and discussions being put momentarily on hold, the Giallorossi are reportedly edging closer to an agreement with West Ham for Scamacca’s transfer.
The Italian striker is the first name on Tiago Pinto’s shopping list to replace injured Tammy Abraham.
According to Repubblica, Roma are expected to formulate a convincing offer for a loan with option to buy for €25 million which could turn into an obligation in case Roma were to qualify to next year’s Champions League tournament.
Scamacca is also playing a role in his own transfer – the ex-Sassuolo man has been putting pressure on his entourage and the Hammers in order to make his return to Roma a concrete possibility.
