Gini WIjnaldum is eyeing a return to the pitch in January 2023 after suffering a fractured leg earlier in August during training. The Dutchman is making progress in his recovery according to recent reports.
Today’s edition of Corriere dello Sport states that the ex-Liverpool midfielder has completed the first phase of recovery and will now regularly work with Roma’s medical staff following an intense first month of recovery in Rotterdam.
During his stay in the Netherlands, Wijnaldum consulted on a daily basis with a local expert and the club’s medical staff. No complications have arisen in recent weeks and Roma are confident the 31-year-old is well on his way to making full recovery in the New Year.
