One of the few positives from last night’s defeat to Cremonese was the sight of Gini Wijnaldum on Roma’s bench. The Dutch midfielder made his first appearance on Jose Mourinho’s squad sheet since his injury in late August.
The player posted a message of hope for the remainder of the season in light of Roma’s elimination from Coppa Italia.
“Unfortunately a disappointing result yesterday, but I was very happy to be with the team again during a match. I hope to play again soon,” he wrote on Twitter.
