Georginio Wijnaldum is back in Italy after spending the past few weeks in Rotterdam where he was closely monitored by a team of experts. The player was finally able to get rid of the plaster cast on Friday morning.
According to Filippo Biafora of Il Tempo, Wijnaldum made his return to Trigoria earlier today and will begin rehab process with the club’s medical staff to recover from the fractured tibia he suffered in the final week of August.
Earlier reports suggested that the player is eyeing a return to the pitch around January. Other reports claimed Roma might take Wijnaldum to Japan for the team’s week-long training camp.
