Argentine midfielder Giovanni Lo Celso revealed he had been close to joining Roma before his move to PSG in 2016.
In an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Real Betis player looked back on the moment when he could have moved to Serie A.
“I have Italian relatives from Verona on my mother’s side, as well as many contacts with Italian teams that didn’t materialize, many Argentine friends who are in Serie A. Sooner or later I want to come here.”
“I played in Spain, England and France, I miss Italy. When I was young at Rosario Sassuolo wanted me,” he added.
“Then, before going to PSG I was very close to Roma, then Napoli. Now I’m very happy here, in the future we’ll see.”
