Legendary Roma captain Giuseppe Giannini praised Paulo Dybala for his recent hat-trick which helped lead the Giallorossi over Torino on Monday evening.
In an interview with Il Messaggero, Giannini reflected on the Argentine’s impact and compared him to some of the club’s all time greats including Francesco Totti.
“Dybala is a great resource for this team, because when he is feeling well he offers so much imagination and inventiveness,” said Giannini.
“If the spaces are tighter and there is difficulty in creating scoring opportunities, the more imaginative player manages to free himself by becoming an important resource for the rest of the team. That’s Dybala.”
“In terms of quality and creativity he’s the best player Roma have had since Totti,” he added. “Without him you realize that Roma struggle to reach the conclusion and get to dangerous situations in the opponent’s area.”
