Roma are currently rumored to be the favorites to land the services of Swiss midfielder Denis Zakaria of Borussia Mönchengladbach.
However, the German side have not given up yet on the Swiss international.
According to German outlet Kicker, Gladbach continue to insist on renewing Zakaria’s contract which is set to expire in the summer of 2022.
Roma, however, are still convinced of finding a way to bring the midfielder already in January by paying a small transfer fee of around €5 million.
The Giallorossi are rumored to have reached an agreement with Zakaria for a four-year contract worth €2.5 million per season.
