Roma continue being linked with Borussia Mönchengladbach defender Nico Elvedi.
According to Pagine Romaniste, Elvedi is the favorite to replace Roma’s Roger Ibanez in case the Brazilian centreback were to leave the Italian capital in the coming weeks.
General Manager Tiago Pinto has already made contact with Gladbach and the player’s agents and inquired about his availability. The club have taken the necessary steps in potentially opening talks with the German side as well.
Over the course of his time at Gladbach, Elvedi has featured in 270 matches collecting 14 goals to his name. Last season, the Swiss defender made 34 appearances and scored three times.
Elvedi’s current pricetag is estimated at around €15-20 million.
