The reason for Tiago Pinto’s business trip to Paris is still considered top secret ahead of the summer transfer window, but some speculations have been made given Roma’s interest in securing a top midfielder.
According to Il Tempo, Pinto’s flight to France could be explained by the director’s interest in Renato Sanches of Ligue 1 club Lille.
Roma have been tracking the Portuguese midfielder for a while now, with links already emerging in the summer of 2021.
The Italian newspaper reports that Lille are open to a sale involving Sanches and their asking price ranges between €15 and 20 million.
Lille owner Alessandro Barnaba is very close with Roma president Dan Friedkin, which could further facilitate a deal between the two clubs.
