Gonzalo Villar after friendly victory over Frosinone: “These games are important for us”.

Roma defeated Serie B side Frosinone 4-1 in a friendly match this evening at the Stadio Benito Stirpe. Following the match, Roma midfielder Gonzalo Villar spoke to Roma TV. Here’s what the Spaniard had to say:

What kind of test was it?
These games are useful because there isn’t much time until the season begins. These friendlies are important to us.

From a personal standpoint, what sort of period are you experiencing in your career?
I always try to work. I was also called-up by the national team, which gives me confidence. I feel good, I feel ready and I hope to be able to play more than last season.

You’ll be without Zaniolo for some time.
I was at home when I heard the news, I felt terrible and I wrote to Nicolò immediately. It was terrible news for us, hopefully he can return soon.
