Spanish football agency Identity Sports is suing Roma midfielder Gonzalo Villar, who’s on loan at Getafe, for breach of contract.
According to Il Romanista, the agency claims Villar and his brother, Javier, a member of Real Madrid’s youth academy, prematurely terminated the contract that was in place between the parties following their split last summer.
After nearly two years together, Villar dissolved the relationship and decided to join the ranks of one of Spain’s highest profile agencies, FootFeel, who are led by agent Alejandro Camaño.
Identity Sports and their CEO Luis Gómez are seeking damages worth up to €2 million, asserting their agreement didn’t expire for an additional six months.
Villar returned to La Liga last month after he and Borja Mayoral completed six-month loan deals to Getafe.
