After two and a half years, Roma midfielder Gonzalo Villar’s time in the Italian capital is coming to an end.
Argentine journalist César Luis Merlo of TyCSports reports the Giallorossi and Sampdoria have agreed to a deal for the permanent transfer of the Spaniard.
The Genovese side will reportedly acquire Villar on an initial loan but with the obligation to make the deal permanent next summer for a total fee of €10 million.
The 24 year-old will travel to Genova within the next few hours to undergo his medical examinations with Samp and officially complete his switch to the team.
Villar ends his tenure in Rome with 64 total appearances and 1 assist to his name.
