Roma have put Gonzalo Villar’s exit on hold as talks with Granada have come to a halt in recent days.
The Spanish midfielder was heavily linked with a return to Spain as Granada approached him for a permanent move this summer.
Villar – who had been excluded from Mourinho’s plans upon his return from loan at Getafe – accepted the destination.
However, Tuttomercatoweb reports that Roma have rejected Granada’s offer as their asking price of €5 million hasn’t been met.
The player’s agents are at work to try and convince Granada to improve their bid.
