Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Granit Xhaka discussed his team’s result in last night’s victory on aggregate against Roma and the resulting progression to the Europa League final.
In his post-match interview with RTL, Xhaka said, “We didn’t even know how we were down 2-0 in the first place.”
“We had clear opportunities, especially in the first half, but also in the second. Unfortunately we conceded instead of scoring, but we came back against a team with a lot of experience.”
“Not losing again is incredible, once again a great determination on our part. We are in the final, it’s a dream come true.”
