Il Corriere dello Sport – It’a more than a temptation: Roma want both Pellegrini and Defrel of Sassuolo.
At Trigoria, they are trying to make the double-move for next season, but for now, it’s out of the budget for Roma and Massara. Roma have the option to buy back Pellegrini for €10 million until 2017 and all indications appear this will happen.
For Defrel, however, who has already been confirmed by Sassuolo sporting director Angelozzi and will remain at least until June, has drawn the attention of Roma, Napoli, and foreign clubs. The player could cost up to €25 million.
Meanwhile, the most feasible option is Depay. If a club decides not to buy him permanently then the door opens for a loan. With Salah leaving for the African Cup and Iturbe likely to leave, the Dutchman is a real possibiiity.
There could also be a reinforcement in the midfield. Roma like West Ham’s Obiang but he may not be cheap. One likely solution is Clement Grenier of Lyon, who has featured only 4 times this season. It’s possible Roma could exchange the loan of Iturbe for the loan of Grenier: Iturbe was very close to moving to the French club in September.
