Growing optimism for Sasa Lukic to Roma

Roma are nearing the signing of Serbian midfielder Sasa Lukic from Torino in the upcoming January window.

Mourinho’s side have spent the past few months looking for mid-season reinforcements for their midfield.

Sasa Lukic’s insistence on leaving Torino after the falling out with Ivan Juric and sporting director Vagnati put him on Roma’s radar in early September. Since then, the Giallorossi have held positive talks with the player’s entourage.

According to calciomercato.com, Roma are engaged in negotiations with Torino regarding a possible swap deal involving Sasa Lukic and Roma defender Marash Kumbulla. Torino want to make Lukic’s exit permanent while in exchange signing Kumbulla on loan with option to buy.

Another name the Granata might consider including in their talks with Tiago Pinto is that of Uzbeki striker Eldor Shomurodov.

For the time being, there is growing optimism for an agreement to be found in the coming weeks.
