Roma are at work to resolve the situation concerning Nicolo Zaniolo who recently expressed his desire to leave the Italian capital despite having no concrete offers on the table.
As a result, the Giallorossi have held preliminary talks with potential candidates to replace Zaniolo, including Chelsea midfielder Hakim Ziyech.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Ziyech is keen on the move to Roma as he considers it a fitting opportunity for a restart following an underwhelming spell with the Blues at Stamford Bridge over the last few years.
Roma are hoping to facilitate an eventual deal for Ziyech through the growth decree which would significantly lower his wages. The player currently earns around €6 million including add-ons.
