Roma’s pursuit of Hamburg’s Jonas Boldt for their vacant Sporting Director role took a new twist yesterday.
The German executive spoke to Sky Sport before his side’s match yesterday against Greuther Fürth and was asked about the rumors linking him to a move to the Giallorossi, whom he met with last week.
”Am I learning Italian? I don’t why I should be at the moment,” said the 38 year-old.
“I have a contract with Hamburg. A year and a half ago I decided to embark on a journey with this club and I want to build something. My opinion remains the same, it hasn’t changed.”
Roma were slated to meet with the German again in the coming days — it remains to be seen if his words were merely diplomatic or if they’re a signal of his intent.
