Hellas Verona boss Igor Tudor wary ahead of Roma showdown

Hellas Verona manager Igor Tudor addressed the media ahead of his team’s trip to the Stadio Olimpico for Saturday evening’s fixture vs the Giallorossi.

“Roma are a difficult opponent. Their coach is the number one, their roster is good enough to compete for the Champions League or comes close to that anyway,” said Tudor.

“I expect a difficult match, but it will also be motivating to face this kind of opponent.”

“As a team we got off to a good start after the Christmas break, it was important to accelerate immediately and we did it in the best possible way.”

“We collected many important points along the way, which brought us farther from fear of relegation: there is little time left but we can achieve our objectives.”

On Mourinho:

“It is an honor to face a technician of his caliber. There are many elements in the work of a coach, among these there is also the aspect of communication and he is the undisputed master of it.”

“The main difference between the two teams,” Tudor concluded, “is that Roma are fighting to play on the European stage. We are not.”
