After seeing his side concede two goals in the second half and draw level with an underwhelming Roma, Igor Tudor was interviewed by DAZN and asked to comment on Verona’s second-half collapse.
“I think we still played a great game,” said Tudor. “Sure, there’s regret because we failed to win. But we dominated most of the game, except maybe for the final 20 minutes.”
“In the end, they didn’t give up and got away with a draw. However, it remains a good point. I congratulate my players.”
When asked whether the collapse was more mental or physical, Tudor replied, “I think few teams are in better physical shape than us. We led for the majority of the game. There’s dynamics involved, and you have to live with it.”
“We always want to play well, but to expect us to go the Olimpico and dominate for 90 minutes against Roma is a bit difficult, wouldn’t you say? We dominated for 60 or 70 minutes and that makes us feel proud to an extent.”
