Armenian attacker Henrikh Mkhitaryan recently completed his move to Inter after three years in the Italian capital.

The ex-Borussia Dortmund man wrote a lengthy Instagram post, thanking the fans for the support.

“Dear Giallorossi, Roma are a truly unique club. From the day I arrived until the Conference League final and beyond, your support was exceptional and I will always be very proud of it.”

“When I first put on this shirt, I had a goal: to make this club win and make its fantastic fans happy. Goal achieved in Tirana! This triumph was the perfect conclusion of my three years in Giallorossi colours.”

“Now is the time to say goodbye. I want to thank all the people who work in the club for the special relationship built together in recent years.”

“A huge thank you to our technical staff and in particular to Mr Mourinho for his trust and attention to me and for the extraordinary advice he gave me as a player.”

“I gave everything for Roma on and off the pitch. It was a great honour to play here and I will never forget the extraordinary moments we experienced together. This club and the Eternal City will remain forever in my heart. I love you! Thank you Roma.”
