Hertha Berlin end pursuit of Amadou Diawara

Hertha Berlin seem no longer interested in out-of-favour Roma midfielder Amadou Diawara whose recent exclusion from the club’s preseason training hints at an imminent move on his part.

The German club had been negotiating a loan with the Giallorossi, but ultimately Hertha decided to pursue another player in the same position.

Recently Hertha unveiled their latest signing in Ivan Sunjic – on loan from Birmingham – who will take Diawara’s place in the midfield.

It remains to be seen where Diawara will end up playing next season: the Guinean midfielder continues to draw interest in Germany, Spain and Italy. However, Roma are yet to receive an official offer for the 24-year-old.
