Hertha Berlin’s Krzysztof Piątek linked with Roma

John Solano

Within the next few days, Roma star Edin Dzeko will meet with the club’s hierarchy to discuss his future with the Giallorossi, according to Corriere dello Sport.

The Bosnian is being courted by Andrea Pirlo and Juventus, who want to bring him to the club to play alongside Cristiano Ronaldo. The two clubs would likely be able to find an agreement on a fee worth 15 million, but the decision is entirely up to Dzeko.

Before allowing Dzeko to leave, Roma would first need to find a potential replacement. At the top of list of is Napoli’s Arkadiusz Milik, who has a 40 million price tag despite his contract expiring next summer. The Polish international is also requesting wages worth €5 million (net) per season.

Another option for Paulo Fonseca’s side could be a different Polish international striker: Herth Berlin’s Krzysztof Piątek. The former Milan man joined the German side in January for €24 million but he has found life very difficult in the Bundesliga and would like a return to Italy.
