Roma midfielder Houssem Aouar is projected to earn more playing time in this final stretch of the season.

After having been scarcely deployed by former Roma coach Jose Mourinho, the Algerian international is looking to get back into Roma’s dynamics with yet another chance to feature from the start in the upcoming match with Lecce.

Two weeks ago, following his first starting appearance in months in the match against Sassuolo, Aouar declared himself dedicated to the team’s cause and in full syntony with newly appointed manager Daniele De Rossi, reports Corriere della Sera.

“Everything’s changed with De Rossi,” Aouar is quoted as saying. “The difference is that now the coach talks to me a lot. He told me to increase the intensity and I did, I train every day to be ready if I’m needed.”

Aouar is likely to receive another chance to start alongside Bryan Cristante and Leandro Paredes.
