Roma midfielder Houssem Aouar has concluded his brief spell at AFCON with the Algerian national team.
The ex-Lyon man was called up for Algeria’s participation in this year’s edition of the African tournament.
Aouar failed to impress as he started only once in Algeria’s poor group-stage showing.
The midfielder and his teammates were eliminated by Mauritania earlier today in a 1-0 defeat, which means Aouar is expected to be back in the Italian capital in the next few days.
Aouar will leave Algeria’s training camp in the coming hours.
