Roma’s plan is to secure a midfielder – with Frattesi sitting on top of the club’s shopping list – then focus on player exits – including Jordan Veretout, Amadou Diawara and Gonzalo Villar’s – and finally sign an additional midfielder in the second half of preseason.
According to Il Tempo, negotiations for Sassuolo’s Davide Frattesi are still on-going and likely to progress throughout the week.
On the other hand, Roma are in contact with Houssem Aouar’s entourage and are considering signing him to replace Henrikh Mkhitaryan who officially joined Inter on Saturday.
Roma General Manager Tiago Pinto was recently in touch with the player’s agent to assess the situation regarding Aouar’s imminent departure from Lyon.
