One of the main alternatives to Davide Frattesi in the January window is that of Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar, previously linked with Roma in the summer.
The Frenchman’s contract with Olympique Lyonnais is edging closer to its expiry date and Lyon are hoping to at least draw a minimal fee in January rather than risk losing him for free in free agency.
According to calciomercato.com, Aouar’s entourage have been in contact with Roma over the past few months and are now waiting for the Giallorossi to make a decision and eventually advance a proposal for a January switch.
The reported pricetag for Aouar is estimated at around €5 million.
