Mats Hummels was once again unable to make his debut for Roma.
Despite several media outlets predicted his place in Roma’s starting line-up against Dynamo Kyiv on Thursday night, Hummels did not make the cut in Ivan Juric’s considerations.
After warming up for the majority of the second half of last night’s 1-0 win, Hummels was instructed to stay on the bench.
After the match, the German defender wrote a message to the fans on Instagram, thanking them for their support.
Crucial win for us yesterday. Thank you a lot Roma fans for the love in the stadium,” he wrote on Instagram. “When we meet in the city and your nice messages here.”
