A shirt sponsor has arrived…but for the back of the AS Roma shirt.
Alessandro Austini of Il Tempo has reported that Roma is closing in on an agreement with Hyundai, the Korean car manufacturer will become the “back sponsor” on the Giallorossi’s shirts starting next season as the club awaits for a main sponsor on the front of the shirt. The contract has a duration of three years and will earn Roma between €3-€3.5 million per season, for a total close to €10 million. This agreement will lead to Roma dissolving their partnership with Volvo, the club’s current car sponsor, though, they do not appear on the shirt.
